Call for National Touring Exhibition Proposals
Call for National Touring Exhibition Proposals
Deadline: December 31, 2026
The Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA) is inviting proposals for its national touring exhibition programme, ExhibitsUSA. The organisation particularly welcomes proposals for small to mid-sized exhibitions of approximately 2,000 square feet or 250 linear feet in size that can tour via common carrier or van line. Proposals should include a one-page curatorial statement, a preliminary checklist of 10–15 sample works, and images of the works. Work must already exist and be available to tour, be in good condition, and be stable enough to tour for at least three years. Work cannot be sold during the tour. If a proposal is selected, M-AAA will work with the curator(s) to strengthen the initial idea and finalise the checklist, develop strategies for interpretation, and define the appropriate tour length, shipping and security requirements, insurance values, loan agreements, fees, and other line item expenditures.

2026 JRA Craft Chrysalis Award in Ceramics
The Chrysalis Award was created by the James Renwick Alliance for Craft to support and inspire emerging craft artists in the United States. Eligible applicants are those who are in the early stages of their professional artistic careers—regardless of age—and who have completed their training within the past five years. This includes academic programs such as a BFA or MFA, as well as self-directed or alternative forms of study. Each year, the award focuses on a different medium. This year’s award will recognize an emerging artist working in ceramics. The recipient will receive a $5,000 unrestricted award, a one-year JRACraft membership, and the opportunity to present their work at a JRACraft event.
